Project Overview
The Denarau Golf & Racquet Club represents one of the Pacific's most significant integrated tourism and residential developments. As part of the National Provident Fund (FNPF) portfolio, this master-planned community combines world-class resort facilities, championship golf, residential estates, and commercial precincts into a cohesive, sustainable development that has become Fiji's premier tourism destination.
Pacific Edge Consultancy, through Ashley Nankervis's leadership, provided comprehensive integrated master planning services that balanced the diverse requirements of international hotel operators (Sheraton, Westin, Marriott), residential developers, retail tenants, and the broader community infrastructure needs. The planning framework established the foundation for over $500 million in subsequent development across the precinct.
The project required sophisticated coordination across multiple stakeholders including FNPF (client and landowner), iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB), Marriott International, local government authorities, and environmental agencies. The master plan successfully integrated resort hotels, golf course, marina facilities, residential subdivisions, retail centers, and supporting infrastructure while preserving the natural coastal environment and respecting cultural heritage sites.
